About the Department of Digital Content

The Department of Digital Content manages all written, visual, and digital storytelling for the London Majors. From post-game coverage to interviews and community features, the department’s mission is to share the stories that define Majors baseball.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain professional experience in sports journalism, writing, and media communications while working directly with the Majors’ media and broadcast teams. Position Overview

The Post Game Recap & Writer Intern will be responsible for writing engaging and timely content that captures the excitement and emotion of each London Majors game. From detailed post-game summaries to player features and community stories, this role is ideal for aspiring journalists or writers seeking hands-on experience in sports communications and digital media.

You’ll work closely with the Majors’ media team to ensure all written content aligns with the organization’s voice, brand, and storytelling goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to write clear, engaging, and accurate game recaps under deadlines.

  • Understanding of baseball rules, gameplay, and terminology.

  • Availability for evening and weekend games throughout the season.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience writing for websites, blogs, or sports media outlets.

  • Knowledge of AP Style or professional writing conventions.

  • Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems.


Internship Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Digital Content Manager and Media Relations team, the intern will:

  • Write post-game recaps for publication on the London Majors website and social channels.

  • Produce feature stories on players, staff, and special events throughout the season.

  • Assist in news updates, and announcements for the organization.

  • Collaborate with the social media and photography teams to enhance written content with visuals.

  • Conduct player and coach interviews for feature or quote inclusion.

  • Ensure all written materials follow brand guidelines and editorial tone.




Top Ongoing Projects
  • Delivering post-game recaps within hours of each home game.

  • Writing player profiles, community stories, and milestone features.

  • Assisting with press releases and special event coverage.
