Playoff MVP Reichstein Re-Signs with Majors

The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of playoff MVP and second-team all-star outfielder Byron Reichstein.

A year to remember for the St. Thomas native, Reichstein finished the year hitting .411, the best of his 10-year career with the Majors. While being tied for the team lead in home runs, Byron’s cannon of an arm was a treat for fans this season whether Byron was in right field, first base or even behind the plate when need be. An all-around player, Reichstein will continue to bring multiple tools to the Majors roster with his bat strength, speed and impeccable defence.

“It's great to have Byron back on the team, he will give us another good bat in the lineup.  Byron is a perennial all-star; anytime you can add a local player with his talent it helps the entire team”, says Roop Chanderdat, Co-Owner, GM and Field Manager.

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
