Graphic Design Internship
The Department of Digital Content is seeking applicants for a Professional-in-training/Internship.
Program/Unit Description:
The Department of Digital Content for the London Majors will have an internship program for 2025-2026 in a variety of areas throughout social media, including Graphic Design. Collaborate with the London Majors creative team to elevate one of the most historic baseball franchises in Canada through innovative graphic design. You'll develop captivating visuals for spanning social media posts, web assets, apparel, print media, fan engagement and beyond. Your creations will embody the spirit of the London Majors, align with our strategic communication objectives and engage our passionate fanbase.
Internship: Digital Content Production – Graphic Design
Supervisors: Matt Hiscox (Manager of Digital Content/Photographer)
Anticipated start date: Nov 1st
Term(Approx.): Nov 1st 2025 – October 1st 2026
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
Ability to work independently and with team members
Attention to details
Concept and ideation skills
Basic copy-editing skills
Digital Marketing/Design
Quick turnaround times
Ability to edit previously designed graphics
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Adobe programs, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom
Desired soft skills:
Works well under pressure and under tight deadlines
Is a team player
Accepts and encourages critique of work
Internship Description:
The Manager of Digital Content (and others) will supervise and mentor this internship. You will have an initial period of observation and critique, followed by supervision as needed. You are expected to ask for assistance when needed. A general description of the internship opportunity is as follows:
Receive “hands-on” learning experiences with:
- Working with graphic designers and assisting in gameday graphics, both home and road
- Collaborate with other units within the department, including Graphics, Broadcast, Marketing/Promotions, and Development, in the production of content that meets department goals and objectives
- Create graphics for social media, websites, and print media
- Utilize creative spirit to engage fans through engaging content that tells the great stories of athletes
- Research design trends and competitor analysis
- Other duties as assigned
