Majors Wrap Up 2026 CBL Campaign at 31-17

What a season for the London Majors.
In a season that included a lot of ups and downs, here’s a true breakout of how the 2026 season transpired.
May - Majors Off to a Promising Start - 5-3
The first month of the season was a solid one for the Majors, going 5-3 in their first 8 games and giving fans a glimpse of what the potential of this team could look like.

June - Majors Surge Into Summer - 9-4
London played some of their best baseball in the month of June, which included a 5-game winning streak. London also beat the best of the best as well, defeating Welland twice, Guelph once, and Barrie once as well.

July - Majors Keep Charging Forward - 8-4
London continued their stretch of great baseball, not losing consecutive games at all through the month of July. The Majors also beat the Baycats twice, along with beating the Hamilton Cardinals once as well.

London was down 7-4 at one point but battled back in the ninth and snagged the victory out of the Red Sox hands. Majors closer Skylar Janisse would then pick up the save, while striking out two.

August/September - Majors Battle to the Finish - 9-7
The August/September stretch was the Majors’ toughest of the season, as they went 9-7, but continued to push through adversity. Despite the challenges, London finished strong and secured the No. 2 seed.

Cobra Chickens defeat Lawn Cocks 3-1 at Home: August 7th
London shocks Hamilton with a late 2-run home run in the top of the ninth from Maikol Escotto, beating the Cardinals 4-3. Zach Laird, Caleb Cassie and Skylar Janisse all pitched clutch innings in relief. August 16th.
Maikol Escotto set a new record for most hits in a CBL season, passing former Major Ryan Lapensee with his 82nd hit of the season on August 29th. Escotto also broke the single-season home run record by a Major with 16 on September 1st, passing Robert Mullen and Cleveland Brownlee.
When looking back at the 2026 season, it is clear the London Majors were a team to remember. From the first pitch to the final out of the regular season, London established itself as one of the CBL’s most complete teams, finishing first in the league in home runs with 73, second in hits with 536, and first in team OPS at .881 and slugging percentage at .493. The Majors were just as impressive on the mound, finishing second in the league with a 4.27 team ERA and second with a 1.33 WHIP. The numbers tell the story of a team that could beat opponents in more ways than one, and after 48 regular-season games, the Majors now turn their attention to the CBL playoffs.
