Majors take 2-0 series lead on Sox

With a trip down to Brantford to take a strangle hold on the series on Saturday night and the 3rd game in 3 days the Majors made sure they came back with the 2-0 series lead after a 15-7 victory over the Red Sox.

Daniel Gore would get his first playoff start and 4th of the season overall. Going 6 innings in the outing while striking out 7 and allowing 1 unearned run. With the Majors playing 5 games in 6 days, it was exactly what Roop Chanderdat needed in the contest. Connor Ambrogio came into the game in the 7th pitching 2 innings but did allow 3 runs while striking out 1. Anderson Acevedo and Braeden Ferrington pitched the 9th inning.

It was another outburst for the Majors as in the first inning, 9 batters would come to the plate while scoring 4 runs that included 2 singles and a double. Cleveland Brownlee had himself a great night as he went 4 for 5 with 5 RBIs, missing a cycle by just the triple. Taylor Wright and Starling Joseph would both have 3 RBIs as Joseph hit a long home run. Only 3 Majors including 3 substitutions did not record a hit in this contest.

The Majors will look for a sweep of the Red Sox on Sunday night at 6:05 pm at Labatt Park. Tickets can be purchased online at www.londonmajors.com or at the gate.
