Majors Split Home & Home vs Leafs

Despite an 8-5 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night at Dominico Field at Christie Pits in Toronto, the London Majors remain all alone in second place in the Intercounty Baseball League standings a full game ahead of the Barrie Baycats who have lost three straight games.
The Welland Jackfish who will be visiting Labatt Memorial Park on Civic Holiday Monday are four games ahead of London on top of the IBL standings London hammered out three home runs in Saturday's game bringing their home run total in three games this season at Christie Pits to 10.
Toby Simmons drove his fifth round-tripper of the season to dead-centre field, landing on the roof of the clubhouse in the second inning to tie the score at 1-1. Simmons added a single later in the game. Francisco Fajardo had two hits on the night including his second home run of the season on a
line drive just inside the right field foul pole bringing home Ty Mosher. Newcomer Raphael Pelletier led off the top of the eighth inning with his first IBL home run, a
no-doubter over the right field wall.
Tucker Zdunich had a single and a check-swing opposite field double. Kyle Maves. Champ Garner and Ty Mosher had one hit each to bring London's hit total to 10.
Starter Colby RIng took the loss. Jonathan Henry, Alex Springer and Jaryd Lund appeared in relief of RIng. First place Welland Jackfish will be visiting Labatt Park on Civic Holiday Monday to take on the
Forest City Cobra Chickens. First pitch will be at 6:05 P.M
