Majors sign submarine pitcher Dustin Davidson
The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of submarine left-handed pitcher Dustin Davidson for the upcoming 2026 Canadian Baseball League season.
Davidson, 24, joins the Majors following three seasons with the Victoria HarbourCats of the West Coast League, where he established himself as a reliable bullpen arm. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound left-hander appeared in nine games during the 2025 season, posting a 1-0 record with a 3.31 ERA, allowing just six earned runs over 16.1 innings of work.
A native of Haida Gwaii, B.C., Davidson brings a unique look to the mound with his submarine delivery, creating difficult angles for opposing hitters and generating plenty of ground balls. His amateur and collegiate career included stops at Douglas College, Allen Community College, and Brookhaven College, where he continued to refine his craft as a situational and matchup reliever.
“Dusty comes to us recommended highly by former Majors infielder Taylor Wright, who has been training with him this offseason,” said Majors field manager Roop Chanderdat . “Dusty brings a different dimension to our bullpen as a funky lefty who keeps the ball on the ground and keeps hitters off balance. We believe he can be not only an important matchup guy for us, but a pitcher who can face right-handed hitters too. He mixes in a sinker with a rising fastball and a cutter-slider combination, which gives him a lot of ways to attack hitters.”
With his experience, size, and deceptive delivery, Davidson is expected to compete for a key role out of the Majors’ bullpen as the Club prepares for the 2026 CBL campaign.
