Majors Sign Britt for 2019

by Ryan Harrison

LONDON - The London Majors, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announced the signing of Utility player Evan Britt for the 2019 season.

Britt another local player joins a roster already impacted by local players. Britt last year played across the diamond including Outfield, first and catcher. Britt earned a reputation as a clutch two strike hitter last season.

The 21 year-old had this to say regarding coming back to the team “I couldn’t be more excited to be back for another season with the Majors. I’m privileged to get to play somewhere that’s truly a first class organization from the top down. It’s a huge benefit to our team to have someone like Roop who has so much experience as both a player and a manager leading the team. He’s instilled a hard working, team first mentality in us and I think it’s going to pay dividends on the field. Doing the little things right, holding ourselves accountable, and working together as a unit. For me it’s always been about what I can do to get better to help the team win games and I’m lucky to say I’ve enjoyed every second of it. Can’t wait to be back under the lights at Labatt Park in front of the best fans in the league competing for a championship.”
