The London Majors got back in the win column with a 6-2 victory over the Guelph Royals Friday night at Labatt Park.

Braeden Ferrington picked up his second win of the season in only his first start of the 2024 season. Ferrington allowed only two runs on four hits with two strikeouts in 5 2⁄3 solid innings. Alex Springer and Skylar Janisse finished up on the mound. The Royals loaded the bases and brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the top of the ninth inning, but Janisse struck out the last two Guelph batters to preserve the 6-2 win.

Guelph starter Hector Yan was looking for his fourth win of the season, but the London got to him early with four runs in the second inning and two more in the fourth.

Gibson Krzeminski was the hitting star for London going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Starling Joseph hit his fourth home run of the season in that four-run rally in the second inning. Kaiden Cardoso and Ty Mosher both had RBI singles. Victor Plaz singled and scored in the second-inning rally to round out the London seven-hit attack.  The Majors who improved to 15-9 with the win over Guelph are back in action Saturday night at home with a 7:35 start against the Brantford Red Sox. They will complete their busy three-game weekend with a trip to Bernie Arbour Stadium in Hamilton on Sunday afternoon to face the Cardinals in a 2:05 P.M.start.
