Majors Re-Sign Local Southpaw Travis Keys for 2026 Season
The London Majors are pleased to announce the re-signing of left-handed pitcher Travis Keys for the upcoming 2026 Canadian Baseball League (CBL) season.
Keys, 27, returns to London for his third season with the Majors after delivering the best campaign of his career in 2025. The London native posted a 2.83 ERA across 14 starts, finishing with a 5–3 record while logging 82.2 innings, the fourth-most in the league. The veteran southpaw struck out 49 batters while issuing just 26 walks, producing a 2.8 BB/9 rate that ranked among the league’s best and underscored his consistency and command on the mound.
The 6-foot, 215-pound left-hander has been a reliable presence in the Majors’ rotation since joining the club. During the 2024 season, Keys went 6–2 with a 3.45 ERA over 15 appearances (12 starts), striking out 79 batters in 73 innings while allowing only 27 walks.
Prior to his time with the Majors, Keys pitched collegiately at Aquinas College (NAIA), where he capped off his senior season in 2021 with a 5–2 record and a 2.61 ERA. He racked up an impressive 101 strikeouts in 62 innings, establishing himself as one of the program’s top arms.
Field Manager Roop Chanderdat highlighted both Keys’ on-field impact and local connection to the club. "We’re extremely excited to re-sign Travis. Being a local player, he means a lot to our organization and provides our staff with tremendous depth. He’s been one of the top Canadian pitchers in the league over the last two seasons and gives us valuable pitching depth and flexibility throughout the year.”
With Keys back in the fold, the Majors continue to strengthen their pitching staff as they prepare for the 2026 campaign, anchored by a proven left-handed arm and a hometown product who has consistently delivered at the CBL level.
