Majors re-sign infielder Kyle Maves
The London Majors are pleased to announce the re-signing of infielder Kyle Maves for the 2026 Canadian Baseball League season.
Maves, 26, returns to London for his second season with the Majors after putting together a strong campaign in 2025. The left-handed hitting infielder set a career high with a .322 batting average, adding three doubles, one triple and seven RBI in 16 games.
Prior to joining London, the Burlington, Ontario native spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the Barrie Baycats. Over 72 career CBL games, Maves has compiled 16 stolen bases, 39 walks and just 49 strikeouts, good for an impressive .384 on-base percentage, highlighting his disciplined approach and speed on the basepaths.
Maves also brings an accomplished collegiate resume, having played NCAA Division I baseball at Quinnipiac University. In his senior season in 2023, he hit .358 with a .435 on-base percentage and swiped 30 bases in 56 games, showcasing the well-rounded skill set he continues to bring to the professional level.
“We’re excited to bring Kyle back to the Majors for the 2026 season,” said Majors Field Manager Roop Chanderdat. “Kyle fits the identity of our team with his plus speed, defence and bat-to-ball skills. He’s a guy who can play anywhere on the infield and brings a lot of plus tools to our club. Just as important, he provides veteran leadership in our clubhouse as someone who has been in the league for a few years and understands what it takes to win.”
With Maves back in the fold, the Majors add another proven, versatile contributor as they continue to build toward the 2026 CBL season.
