Majors outfileder returns for second season

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of the outfielder Starling Joseph.

Joseph returns to the Majors for his second season after hitting .351 which was 5th best on the team while also having 38 RBIs (third on the team behind Mullen & Brownlee). The San Pedro De Macoris native was one of three players to play in all 42 games in the regular season. A former Texas Rangers prospect had 9 home runs in the regular season and 7 stolen bases. He brought both speed and power to the Majors lineup while recording 34 putouts and 1 defensive assist patrolling right field.

With the return of Joseph, Roop was very excited about what he brings to the team “Star brings enthusiasm, fun and excitement to our team and it shows every time he is on the field.  He is a threat every time he steps into the batter’s box owing to his tremendous power. Star's approach at the plate was very good for a power hitter batting over 0.350.”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world. The league was established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
