Majors Kept it Close But Fall Late to Toronto

The Majors win streak came to an end on Sunday vs the Maple Leafs in Toronto. After manufacturing a 2-0 lead on a single by Byron Reichstein scoring McQueen from third followed by Carlos Arteaga scoring on a wild pitch.

Majors 2-way rookie Hayden Jaco was making his debut on the mound for the Majors and pitched well, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 2. Jaco started the first 2 innings with only 18 pitches and facing 7. After the third inning, the Leafs would try to work Jaco but would be unsuccessful. Jarryd Lund would come in with 2 outs in the 6th and strike out with 2 runners on.

In the 7th inning, McQueen would score on a Reichstein double in the 7th inning while he would also score again in the 9th inning from third base on a groundout. 

The Majors travel to Hamilton on Tuesday to take on the Cardinals while the next home game for the Majors comes next Friday as they take on the Welland Jackfish at 7:35. Followed by  Saturday vs the Kitchener Panthers and a doubleheader vs the Barrie Baycats as part of the makeup game from July 11th.
