The London Majors got an outstanding outing froCesilio Pimentel while the offence was rolling in Welland, defeating the Jackfish 6-4 Saturday night at Welland Stadium to claim their tenth win of the season.

Cesilio Pimentel took the mound for his fourth start of the season and was excellent, as the Dominican Republic native pitched eight and two-thirds innings while giving four earned runs on seven hits and striking out five, claiming his third win of the season. Pimental used all of his pitches very effectively, as both his fastball and his off-speed pitches had the Jackfish offence slumping for the majority of the game.

The Majors' offence, however, was not slumping whatsoever as Trent Lenihan wasted no time as he hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot to left field, to give the Majors an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Tucker Zduinch added more insurance to the Majors' lead as he had an RBI single in the top of the fifth. Starling Joseph also got in on the action as he hit his first home run of the season to right field in the top of the sixth to extend the Majors' lead to 5-1.

Trent Lenihan then capped off the Majors' 11-hit effort with another home run, this one a solo shot to left field in the top of the seventh, as he accomplished his first multi-home run game in the CBL.

Skylar Janiesse was then called upon to get the final out of the ballgame as he recorded his CBL-leading fifth save of the season.

The Jackfish got their runs on a Sac Fly by Daikl Abe in the third, a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth by Brendon Luther and a solo home run by Ethan Mann in the bottom of the ninth.

With the win tonight against Welland, London becomes the first team in the CBL to get to the ten-win marker, as they improved to 10-4 on the season and 5-3 on the road. The Majors will now finish a stretch of three games in three days on Sunday when they’ll be in Hamilton to take on the Cardinals at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium at 4:05.
