The London Majors have shown all season long that they refuse to give up regardless of the situation they find themselves in. After a 6-3 loss to the Guel[h Royals on Saturday night at Hastings Stadium in Guelph.
London finds themselves in one of those do-or-die predicaments that will require every ounce of fight that they have. Guelph now leads the series two games to none and a win on Sunday afternoon would advance the Royals to the second round of IBL playoffs.
Travis Keys started on the mound for London and battled hard through all eight innings. Keys held the Royals to six runs despite allowing 15 hits. Jacob Kush picked up the win for Guelph. The Majors got to Kush for all three of their runs, but it was not enough to pull out the much-needed victory. Andrew Case pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Kush. Edgar Garcia closed out the ninth inning for the save.
Kyle Maves had two of London's six hits. The other four were banged out by Tucker Zdunich, Toby Simmons. Raphael Pelletier, and Ty Mosher.
The series moves back to Labatt Memorial Park for Game Three on Sunday afternoon where the London Majors will face elimination. Game time is 4:05 pm.
