Majors fall to Leafs in high scoring affair

Friday night’s game was a game that flipped emotions up and down throughout the game but the Majors came up short in this game with a loss to the Maple Leafs.

With Pedro De Los Santos on the mound who has had an up and down season, this would be a down game for the lefty. An error would hurt the Majors in the inning leading to 4 runs in the first inning and would be tough to come back from. The Majors would be able to score 2 in the bottom followed by 6 runs in the bottom of the third on back-to-back home runs by Robert Mullen and Starling Joseph would get the Majors tied in the game while Jakob Newton would use his speed with a triple in the inning to score Austin Wilkie.

Toronto would storm back in the game scoring 8 runs in the top of the 5th inning including 3 home runs. The Majors would get 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th with Gibson Krezminski at the plate. Unfortunately, the Majors’ comeback would fall short

On Saturday the Majors return to action on the road to take on the Guelph Royals at 7:35 pm before returning to Labatt Park to take on the pesky Welland Jackfish on Sunday night at 7:35 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.londonmajors.com.

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy.
