The London Majors came up short in a 6-3 loss to the Hamilton Cardinals in the Annual Father's Day Pack The Park game on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The Majors brought the potential game-tying run to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning when Ty Mosher singled and Starling Joseph was hit by a pitch.  Kaiden Cardoso drove the first pitch of his at-bat to deep centre field, but Brandon Nicholson was able to track it down and make a great catch to send the crowd of 4,742 spectators home disappointed.

Jose Arias started on the mound for London and allowed five runs on eight Hamilton hits over seven innings. Braeden Ferrington retired the side in order in the eighth inning. Daniel Gore went one inning in relief of Ferrington and allowed a solo home run to Cole Iantomasi. London had eight hits in the game. The Majors scored all their runs in the sixth inning. That three-run rally consisted of an RBI double by Kaiden Cardoso and a two-run home run off the bat of right fielder Byron Reichstein which scored Cardoso.

London threatened in the bottom of the eighth with one out on a single by Eduardo De Oleo and a Byron Reichstein walk but were unable to cash in those runners. The London offence was led by Tristan Osika and Kaiden Cardoso with two hits each. Byron Reichstein's two-run home run, a Cleveland Brownlee double, and singles from Ty Mosher and Eduardo De Oleo rounded out the eight-hit attack. Takaki Eguchi earned the win for Hamilton and Jacob Gajic tossed two scoreless innings to earn the save. Tyler Duncan, Luis Bernardo, and Cole Iantomasi had two hits each for Hamilton while Connor Hicks, Dennis Dei Banning, Zach Marriott, and Josh Niles had one hit each.

The next action for the London Majors is Tuesday night June 18th when they welcome the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers to Labatt Park for a make-up game from a June 2nd rainout.
