Majors fall in game 1 to Royals

The London Majors dropped game one of their best of five first round playoff series to the Guelph Royals by a score of 8-0 at Labatt Memorial Park on Friday night.
Guelph starting pitcher Claudio Custodio and reliever Chris Lazar combined to shutout the Majors on just three hits while racking up a combined nine strikeouts. Dre Amaral, Eduardo De Oleo and Byron Reichstein had one hit each.
Victor Payano took the loss allowing three earned runs in five innings on the mound. Ryan Beitel, Jonathan Henry, Alex Springer, and Jaryd Lund each pitched one inning in relief of Payano.
London will not have to wait long to attempt to even the series at one game apiece as they will travel to Guelph Saturday for a 7:30 start at Hastings Stadium. The Majors hope to return to Labatt Memorial Park on Sunday afternoon with the series even. First pitch Sunday will be at 4:05 P.M
