Majors Continue to Click in Saturday Night Win

The first-place Majors continue their roll as they took on the Brantford Red Sox on Saturday night with the IBL’s player of the month Pedro De Los Santos on the mound.

Coming in with a winning record Pedro would not let manager Roop Chanderdat down. Going 7 innings allowing 2 runs striking out before turning it over to Bo Buckley who went a scoreless 8th followed by Keith Kandel in the 9th who gave up 2 runs.

Offensively Humberto Ruiz had 4 RBI’s in the game while Carlos Arteaga and Byron Reichstein also had 2 in the game. After having his 9 game hitting streak snapped, Hayden Jaco went 0 for 5 again tonight but continued his dominance around the dish playing at 1st base in the 9th inning. Outfielder Adam Filmon went 2 for 3 with a walk as he seems to have found his stride at the perfect time for the Majors.

Their next action is tomorrow afternoon in Hamilton to take on the Cardinals, followed by Thursday in Welland before returning to Labatt Park to take on the Cardinals on Friday night. Tickets for Friday night's game can still be purchased online at www.londonmajors.com

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
