Majors bring back Ferrington for season 9

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Braeden Ferrington for his 9th season dawning the pinstripes.

In 2021, Ferrington set a career-best with an ERA of 0.86 over 31.1 innings before coming into the 2022 season where he would continue his clutch performance especially late in games for the Majors as he finished with 24.1 innings over 15 games in the regular season before tacking on another 8 innings with an ERA of 0.00 in the playoffs. Last season with both Ferrington and Fernando Fernandez out of the bullpen at the end of the game the Majors captured their second straight championship.

A fan favourite, he was asked about what keeps the drive going and how he continues to be dominant over the last 2 years “Being from the city of London it’s a privilege to wear the pinstripe jersey in front of people just like myself. Personally, what motivates me every season is to be a good role model for the kids, baseball is a kids' game & the more they enjoy watching us play, maybe one makes a name for themself in the future. Over the past 2 seasons, the fan base has really supported the guys in the room, on & off the field. We as players notice it & genuinely appreciate it because it shows that people see us as humans and not a 3-hour distraction from their work week. “

“It’s Great to have Ferzy back to help anchor the back end of the bullpen.  He is one of my core guys and has grown into a leadership role on our team” said Roop Chanderdat about the Majors 1st signing of the off-season.

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world. The league was established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
