Majors bring back 2 locals

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of 2 local players for the 2020 season. Coming back this summer is utility player Evan Britt and outfielder/pitcher Robert Doyle.

Britt the former Guelph Gryphon returns for his 3rd season with the Majors. The London native has been used all over the diamond in many positions including catcher, outfield, 1st base and, 3rd base. Britt has hit for a career average of .275 in 151 at-bats. Two years ago, Britt had a memorable moment where he was the walk-off hit by pitch vs the Hamilton Cardinals in the playoffs.

Londoner Doyle returns as a two-way player coming out of the bullpen along with playing in the outfield for the Majors the past 4 seasons. With a career 25 strikeouts on the mound and an average of .250, Doyle gives the team a left-handed option both on the mound and in the batters’ box.

When asked about bringing these key Majors back this season Roop Chanderdat (Co-Owner, General Manager, Field Manager) had this to say, “Both Britt and Doyle are consummate team players and accept their roles and are always ready to go when needed.”  “These two guys work very hard and have come thru in clutch situations late in games”.
