Majors Add Power Bat with Signing of Xavier Whittle for 2026
The London Majors are proud to announce the signing of corner infielder Xavier Whittle for the 2026 Canadian Baseball League season.
The Oakville, Ontario product joins the Majors following a standout collegiate career, most recently completing his final season at Humber College (OCAA), where he cemented himself as one of the premier hitters in school history.
Whittle was dominant in 2025, batting .420 with four home runs and 14 RBI in 17 games, while posting a stellar .531 on-base percentage and .720 slugging percentage.
The 6-foot-1 right-handed hitter is a two-time OCAA First Team All-Star (2024, 2025). Whittle also captured the 2024 Humber Spirit Award and was named the 2025 Humber Baseball Coaches' Pick, highlighting both his performance and leadership.
During his time with the Humber Hawks, Whittle set the program’s all-time slugging percentage record and home run record, finishing his Humber career with a .353 batting average, nine home runs, and 35 RBI in 46 games, alongside a lifetime .483 OBP.
Prior to transferring to Humber, Whittle competed at the junior college level with Bay College, appearing in 72 games from 2021–23, batting .337 with 41 RBI during his time there.
“We’re excited to add Xavier to our roster as a valuable depth piece and a right-handed bat off the bench,” said Majors Field Manager Roop Chanderdat. “He can play both corner infield spots, and he has raw power that we’re hoping to tap into. We think he’s a player who can really grow within our team.”
The Majors look forward to welcoming Xavier and his family to London as preparations continue for the 2026 season.
