Majors Add Big, Young Right-Handed Pitcher

LONDON - The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Jose Vasquez.

From Cambridge, Ontario, Jose spent the 2019 collegiate season with Northwestern State a Division 1 school in Louisiana before heading to the Sunflower Collegiate League with the Cheney Diamond Dawgs where he pitched mostly in relief compiling an ERA of 0.71. Starting one game pitching five innings in a 9-1 victory while only allowing three hits. The 6’5” pitcher, while with Northwestern pitched in 20 innings and striking out 23 batters.

Vasquez had a message to the loyal Majors fans when he talked about signing with the team “Signing with the Majors was an easy decision. Despite all the adversity, Roop has continued to bring top-level talent to London making the Majors a fun team to watch, and a powerhouse in the IBL. I am thankful for the opportunity and excited to play the 2021 season with this group. See you all this summer at Labatt Park!

Jose is a big young right-handed pitcher with lots of ability.  He has experience pitching at the D1 level in the US and this should help him find success in the IBL”. The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
