Calgary Native comes East to join the Majors

The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of Calgary, Alberta native Bo Lewington. The 28-year-old, right-hand pitcher joins the Majors after spending his 2019 South Perth Cubs WA State League Australia.

Lewington, the 6’3” righty has spent time in the Pecos League with the High Desert Yardbirds, and in the WMBL with the Okotoks Dawgs.

When Bo was asked about joining the defending IBL champions for the 2022 season “I'm really looking forward to joining the Majors for the upcoming season. I'm excited to get another opportunity to compete in the game that I love, and to help the boys put up some W's and bring home another ring for the London faithful. Let's get it."

This is the first new signing for the Majors and Roop Chanderdat was asked about what the big righty and what he will bring to the Majors staff this year “Bo is a big strong right-handed pitcher that will be a good addition to our pitching staff.  He has experience playing pro baseball and also playing overseas and this will help him adjust quickly to the IBL.”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
