Brownlee & Chanderdat heading to the All Star Showdown
The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) has announced that both Roop Chanderdat and Cleveland Brownlee will be part of the coaching staff for this year’s All-Star Showdown.
Chanderdat will return for his second consecutive All-Star coaching appearance, once again joining Brian Essery on the bench. This marks the sixth time Chanderdat has been named an All-Star manager or bench coach, with previous selections coming both during the regular season and postseason. Since taking over as manager of the London Majors in 2006, he has amassed an impressive 419 wins over 20 seasons.
Cleveland Brownlee has been named an honorary team captain for the 2025 All-Star Showdown by the IBL Commissioner. Now in his 14th season, the Atlanta native has been an exceptional ambassador for the league. Brownlee’s career accomplishments speak for themselves, as he currently ranks third all-time in IBL history for home runs, a testament to his impact both on and off the field.
Both will join the 7 members of the South All Stars previously announced. Fans still have time to vote for Francisco Fajardo as well online at www.theibl.ca/vote
