Arteaga Returns to the Infield

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Carlos Arteaga. A member of the franchise since 2016 and he was also apart of history with keeping the tradition of Labatt Park going this past summer playing in the Legacy Classic.

The former Fanshawe Falcon rejoined the team 8 games into the 2019 season and didn’t show any rust. Having a career-high in hits, RBIs, triples and average (36/16/2/.313);  He was a spark plug for the line-up that year.

“I would like to thanks Roop and London Majors organization for the opportunity to dress in pinstripes for one more summer. Roop has been a great mentor on and off the field. I believe his desire to win along with his vision could be a key factor to a championship run this upcoming season. The Boys of the Summer will be ready to bring happiness to the best fans in the IBL “

Majors general manager, co-owner and manager Roop Chanderdat had a lot to say when bringing back Arteaga “I’m very happy to have Carlos back for another season, He is a hard worker and comes to the field every day looking to get better. Carlos is a very good defensive infielder and offensively has continued to show tremendous improvements at the plate which was evident in 2019 where he hit 0.313 in the regular season”.

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
