Another Local Returns To The Pinstripes

The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of local utility player Evan Britt

The London native returns to the Majors for his third season. The versatile righty has seen playing time all over the diamond including 1st, 3rd, Outfield, DH and behind the dish catching. Having 36 hits in 53 games including some clutch hits, Britt also knows how to make the pitchers do their job and turn the line up over accumulating 18 walks over those same 53 games.

The former Guelph Gryphon was asked what it means to play for his hometown team and it was an easy answer for the 23-year-old “It’s been a pleasure playing for Roop and the Majors. I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the field at Labatt Park and compete again”

When asked about what a player like Evan brings to the roster Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanderdat replied with “Evan is a valuable player to have on our roster owing to his versatility defensively, He is a hard worker that continues to develop and another one of our core local players coming back to the Majors”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
