3 Home Runs For the Majors but fall short in game 2

After a big win in game 1 of the IBL Finals vs the Maple Leafs, London made the trip down the 401 to Toronto looking to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. The Majors would drop this one 6-4 to allow the Leafs to tie the series.

Owen Boon would control the Leafs through 5 innings only giving up 2 runs before giving up 3 in the 6th. Boon would strike out 5 in the outing while walking 4. Braeden Ferrington would come in for the 7th pitching 1.2 innings giving up a solo home run while striking out 3 before Luke Kelley would get the last out of the bottom of the 8th on a ground out.

Offensively the Majors would score all 4 of their runs on home runs. Austin Wilkie would drive in Humberto Ruiz in the top of the 2nd inning giving the Majors an early lead. Majors catcher Hayden Jaco would drive one out as well while at the time giving the team a 3-1 lead. Byron Reichstein would hit a solo home run in the 8th inning but it would still lead the Majors 2 runs short and were unable to muster anything in the 9th and drop the game.

The Majors will look to get back in the series lead on Tuesday night at 7:35 pm. Tickets can be purchased online only at www.londonmajors.com
