The London Majors scored first on Saturday afternoon in Barrie with two runs in the second inning, but that lead was short-lived as the Barrie Baycats decided that London was not going to shut them out two nights in a row. The Baycats went on to score a total of 14 runs in their next three at-bats to come away with a 14-4 victory.
That two-run second inning rally started with Cleveland Brownlee being hit by a pitch, which was followed by Byron Reichstein ́s stand-up double off the left field wall. A ground ball single up the middle by Brad Verhoeven brought Brownlee home with London's first run. Reichstein later scored to make the score 2-0 when Gibson Krzeminski drew a base-loaded walk.
The Majors offense was led by Byron Reichstein who had a double and a single. Gibson Krzeminski, Jagan Chanderdat, Victor Plaz. Brad Verhoeven, and Champ Garner had one hit each.
Making his first start of the season Jonathan Henry took the loss allowing 11 runs. Eight of those runs were earned in 2 1/3 innings, Tyler Gillies allowed one run on two innings. Jaryd Lund and Christian Coombes followed in relief without allowing any runs.
Cesar Rosado earned his seventh win of the season going five innings on the mound for Barrie allowing three runs on three hits and recording 11 strikeouts.
The 22-14 London Majors will be back in action Sunday afternoon at Labatt Park when the Hamilton Cardinals come to the Forest City for a 4:05 p.m. first pitch.
