Majors complete sweep of the weekend

The London Majors wrapped up a demanding three-games-in-three-days stretch in style, securing a 10-6 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon at Christie Pits. The win marks the Majors’ third straight triumph, closing out a perfect weekend.
Despite an early deficit—trailing 4-3 after two innings—London's pitching depth and timely hitting proved too much for the home side. Starter Alex Springer surrendered three runs in the first inning, but the bullpen stepped up in dominant fashion. Colby Ring and Jose Arias combined for six strong innings, allowing just three hits and striking out five. Skylar Janisse capped off the effort by earning his third save in as many days, continuing his stellar form out of the bullpen.
Offensively, it was a complete team effort. All nine starters recorded at least one hit, with Tucker Zdunich, Francisco Fajardo, Josh Niles, and Dre Amaral each collecting multiple hits. Zdunich led the way with a three-hit performance, while Eduardo De Oleo added a solo home run in the eighth inning to extend the Majors’ lead to four.
Following the game, Manager Roop Chanderdat praised his team’s execution and resilience. “I’m very proud of this team,” said Chanderdat. “They executed well and did all the little things right. I have a strong belief in this group.”
The Majors will now enjoy a well-earned four-day break before kicking off a home-and-home series with the Hamilton Cardinals. The series begins Thursday in Hamilton and concludes Friday night at Labatt Memorial Park—just ahead of the IBL All-Star festivities, where seven Majors players will represent London in Sunday’s showcase.
