Baycats edge Majors in pitchers dual

After a dominant Friday night, the Majors travelled to Vintage Throne Stadium to take on the Baycats for the 2nd of 3 matchups in a 13 day timeframe. The Majors would fall in this contest 4-1.

Pedro De Los Santos would return to the mound looking for his first win of the season. After getting through the first 4 innings in a very dominant performance, Pedro would leave after the 7th inning, trailing 3-1. With 4 strikeouts, 1 walk and only 1 earned run it would look like the former IBL All-Star is rounding back into his 2021 form. Bo Lewington would come in for his 4th appearance this year going 1 inning while getting a strikeout as well.

Offensively the Majors would be shut down by a dominant performance by Adam Khan who matched De Los Santos with 7 innings with 5 strikeouts in what was his best outing of the season according to the Baycats TV announcers. Cleveland Brownlee would, unfortunately, see his 15 game hitting streak come to an end but still leads the team in hits, and home runs while adding to his RBI lead with the solo RBI in the game. Austin Wilkie, Robert Mullen and Gibson Kresminski would also have a hit in the game but would be the extent of the Majors’ offence.

Tomorrow the Majors travel down to take on the Hamilton Cardinals in an afternoon tilt starting at 2 pm before returning to Labatt Park to take on these same Baycats on Canada Day. Fans are encouraged to wear red to celebrate the day.
