About the Department of Digital Content
The Department of Digital Content oversees the creation and execution of all media, digital, and social storytelling for the London Majors. From game-day coverage to video production and community engagement, the department is focused on building a vibrant and modern fan experience.
The Social Media Internship offers an opportunity to work hands-on with the Majors’ media team throughout the 2025 season, producing live content at home and away games, managing social platforms, and assisting in the overall digital communication strategy. Position Overview
As a Social Media Intern, you will play a key role in bringing the London Majors experience to fans across all digital platforms. From real-time updates and live game coverage to storytelling and post-game recaps, you’ll help shape the voice of the Majors online. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about sports, social media, and digital content creation, looking to gain professional experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
Experience managing or creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).
Strong written and visual communication skills with an understanding of social media trends.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and selected road games(travel or from home).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of sports media and an interest in baseball.
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar design/editing tools is an asset.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live event environment.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Familiarity with photography or short-form video editing is an asset.
Internship Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Digital Content and Media Relations teams, the Social Media Intern will:
Capture and post live game updates (photos, videos, and score updates) across all official Majors social media platforms.
Cover both home and select away games(travel or from home), ensuring fans receive real-time updates and engaging behind-the-scenes content.
Assist with special events, community appearances, and team promotions through social coverage.
Collaborate with graphic designers and content creators to publish consistent and on-brand posts.
Help produce recap posts, highlight reels, and social stories after each game or event.
Support content planning and scheduling during both the regular season.
Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels and ensure posts align with organizational tone and style.
Brainstorm and execute creative campaigns and trends to increase fan engagement.
Top Ongoing Projects
Expanding in-game and post-game coverage on social platforms.
Assisting with player features, fan spotlights, and sponsored posts.
Supporting live event coverage including community nights, giveaways, and playoff promotions.
