Reichstein Returns for 8th Season
LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of perennial all-star outfielder Byron Reichstein for his 8th season with the team. The St. Thomas native began his career with the Majors in 2012.
Byron had a career high in RBIs last season with 37 total and tied a career high for home runs with 8. Byron also adds speed with a total of 7 stolen bases and is good defensively with a cannon of an arm from the outfield and had a total of 54 putouts in the 2018 season.
“I’m excited to get back on the field with Roop and the London Majors. Roop has put together a very solid lineup and staff that is ready to come into 2019 and make some noise. I cannot wait to get on the field and play a sport I love in-front of the London crowd”.
“Byron is one of our leaders in the clubhouse and on the field”, says Roop Chanderdat, Co-owner, GM and Field Manager. “Byron is an all-star caliber player and I am happy he is back wearing the pinstripes”.
The London Majors are a member of Ontario's most elite baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
