Majors add Ottawa native 1st baseman

The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of 6’9” 1st baseman Daniel Perrier.

A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Perrier joins the Majors after completing his schooling at Seneca College while setting the single-season home run record for the Sting with 6, not only did he have 6 but 2 of them were at his new home stadium of Labatt Park. With 21 RBI’s in 18 games and having an average of .357. The  265lbs 1st baseman, Daniel has also spent time with the Cornwall River Rats, University of Ottawa and Capital City Reds U22.

The newest major was asked about joining the Majors this season “I’m really excited to play for London and to have the opportunity to play in front of a great fan base. I’m hoping to bring some excitement to Labatt Park this summer and to help the team defend their championship.”

Adding to the infield, Roop Chanderdat was asked about the newest infielder “Daniel is a young player with size that has had a good Canadian Collegiate career.  He will be another of our young players we hope can develop and adapt quickly to the IBL game.”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
