Majors add Alberta Native Hummel

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of Righ-handed Pitcher Wyatt Hummel.

Joining the Majors’ pitching staff after pitching 34.2 innings for the Welland Jackfish last season. The Edmonton, Alberta native also was a dominant pitcher in the league as he had 49 strikeouts in his innings worked. Hummel pitched previously with the Kelowna Falcons and the Okanagan College Coyotes before joining the Jackfish.

When asked about joining the Majors “I’m extremely excited to have this opportunity to join an organization like the Majors,” The big right-hander was all about a 3-peat when asked about this season “fans can expect me to do everything I can on the mound to help the team secure a 3-peat championship season.”

Adding another experienced pitcher to the Majors’ staff is a great addition for manager Roop Chanderdat “Wyatt is a great addition to our pitching staff. He has IBL experience which will be an asset in knowing the hitters and teams around the league. Hummel can help in the bullpen and also if need be an effective starter.”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world. The league was established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
