All Star catcher Will Richards from Mississauga has signed to play with the Majors for the 2008 season.  Richards is 21 years old 6'0 , 200 lbs bats left throws right.

Will started his collegiate career at Muscatine Commmunity College in Iowa and spent two season at Muscatine.  Will is currently in his 1st season at Indiana Tech.

The last two summers, Richards has played for the Stratford Nationals. In his rookie IBL season in 2006 Richards batted 0.277 with 2 home runs and 14 rbi.  Last season with Stratford Will batted 0.312 with 6 home runs, 8 doubles (tied for 4th in the league) and 24 rbi.  These impressive numbers earned Richards 2nd Team All Star Catcher.

We are excited to have Will on our team and he should provide us with some stability behind the plate.  Will's bat will complement the other hitters already signed to our team.
