THREE VETERANS SIGN FOR 2006 SEASON

December 22 , 2005
The London Majors are pleased to announce that three veterans players will be returning for the 2006 season.  Kyle Piwowarczyk, Kevin Virtue and Simon Gallaraga have signed on for the 2006 season.  This is the start of what should be an exciting season for the Majors.  These players bring experience and leadership to the team.

Kyle is a versatile player that can play both the infield and outfield.  He had a breakout season in 2005 finishing 2nd in the league in hitting wiht a 0.408 average.  His impressive play earned Kyle a first team all star selection as an outfielder.  Kyle is a hard nosed player and will be a valualble member of the 2006 Majors ball team.

Kevin Virtue was injured for most of the 2005 season and was limited to only 6 games for the season.  Prior to his injury Kevin was slated to play in the Norther League.  Over the past few seasons Kevin has been both an outfielder and a pitcher, however because of an arm injury Kevin will be focusing on only being an outfielder.  In 2004 Kevin tied for the team lead during the regular season hitting 0.333 and was a mainstay in the middle of the batting order.  Kevin is one of the leaders on this team and we look forward to him playing a complete season for the Majors.

Simon Gallaraga provides the Majors with a long-ball threat.  In 2005 he tied for second in the league with 7 home runs during the regular season and he also had 25 rbi.  Simon is a dedicated player and everytime he puts on the Majors uniform he gives you 100%.  Over the years because of his style of play and personality Simon has become a fan favorite.
