The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of 1st Baseman Ron Oneson. Oneson is a 6’4”, 220 lb. 1st Baseman who makes his home in the off-season in London, Ontario. Oneson was on a baseball scholarship at Ashland University in Ohio.
Ron played for Ashland University Baseball Team from 2004 to 2007. In 2006 Team made the college world series and finished 5th in Division 2. While at Ashland Oneson was a
2 Time Honorable Mention all conference.
As a freshman, Oneson put up extremely impressive numbers batting .350 with 15 extra base hits, 2 home runs and 46 rbi In his senior year Oneson batted 0.284 with 15 rbi.
During the summer of 2005 Oneson played for the Calgary Dawgs of the Western Baseball League. In 33 games Oneson batted 0.305 with 39 hits and 24 rbi.
Oneson was a member of the 2004 London Majors team that lost in the finals to Guelph.
We are happy to have Ron back with the Majors for the 2008 season. |
