Roop Chanderdat, General Manager, has announced that Pierre Miville-Deschenes, a right handed pitcher (RHP) has signed with the Majors for the 2009 season.  Pierre is 21 years old, 6'2", 210 lbs and is from Sherbrooke Quebec.

Milville-Deschenes is currently attending the University of Buffalo, a Division 1 School, on a baseball scholarship.  Pierre was part of the National Junior Program.  In 2004 Milville-Deschenes was drafted by the NY Mets in the 38th round.

In his Rookie Season, 2008, with the Majors Deschenes was 5-1 with a 3.89 ERA in 41.2 innings.  Pierre spent most of the season in the starting rotation and was a big contributor in the Majors winning the IBL Pennant.
