Catcher, Mason Reilly, Back for 2nd Season

January, 2009

Catcher, Mason Reilly is back for his 2nd season with the Majors.  Reilly from California is a 5'11", 196 lbs switch hitting catcher.  In his Rookie Season with the Majors Reilly batted 0.291 with 9 doubles, 1 hr and 19 rbi in 33 games during the regular season.  Mason was also stellar behind the dish and was a stopper for would be base stealers.

Reilly graduated from the Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) baseball program.

At OBU in his Senior Year (2008):

First team All-SAC Conference and first team All-Region

Avg.389, At-Bats 211,Runs 48, Hits 82, Doubles 11, HR's 12, RBI 75,SLG% .611,   On base% .509,   FLD%  .991

At OBU in his Junior Year (2007).

SAC Conference Gold Glove, Nation Gold Glove first team

Prior to OBU Reilly, attended Chabot Junior College in Hayward, CA. He won first team All-Coast Conference honors in his sophomore season.
