January 7, 2006
The London Majors held their first tryout camp in Venezuela on Friday January 6, 2006 and this was a very successful event. This camp was run by: SIMON GALARRAGA, LONDON MAJORS Director Scouting Latin America; BRUNO BALDACCI, LONDON MAJORS Italy Scout; VICTOR ODREMAN, LONDON MAJORS Chicago Scout. This camp was run under the direction of ROOP CHANDERDAT, Co-Owner & General Manger of the LONDON MAJORS. OZZIE TROCONY, a Scout of OAKLAND A'S, was also in attendance.
This was an INVITATIONAL ONLY CAMP and only selected players were invited. This camp and other camps overseas are carried out to provide kids with an opportunity to pursue both their baseball dream and gain an education at a college. Players signed may not necessarily suit up for the Majors in 2006. These players will go to a college on a baseball scholarship and/or play for the Majors.
Many thanks go out to all of the people who provided their time and effort to make this a professional camp and a great experience for all participants.
Remember HARDWORK, DEDICATION AND RESPECT will help make this a successful organization. |
