Andrew Mercier and Alex Blackburn have both signed to play for the Majors in 2006.

Last season Andrew played for Riviere du Loup (Quebec Senior League) and Capitales De Quebec (CanAm Baseball League).  Prior to playing in the CanAm League Andrew also palyed for the now defunct Canadian Baseball League.  Andrew in also a veteran of the IBL having played for both the Majors and the now defunct St. Thomas Storm (2002 season was his last in the IBL).

Alex Blackburn is returning for his third season with the Majors.  Last season Alex batted 0.263 with 22 rbi in 36 games.  Alex is a former Toronto Blue Jays farmhand, from 2000-2004.  Unfortunately Alex will require surgery on his knee and will only be available for limited action.
