In Guelph, the host Royals and the visiting London Majors battled the weather but the Royals survived the rain delays to rout the Majors 18-5, evening their record at 1-1.
Kevin Whyte went five innings and picked up the win, allowing five earned runs. Adam Echlin was the loser, charged with seven earned runs over three innings.
Jamie Pogue had four hits and drove in four runs to lead the Royals 19-hit attack, while Jeremy Ware also had four hits. Kevin Hinton added a pair of hits for the Royals, giving him 699 in his great career.
Jess Bechard had four hits, Vince Burke had 2 and Alan Cattrysse also added 2 hits for London.
Mike Delong pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up 4 runs and Geoff Mann pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up 7 runs.

Hamilton starter Doug Chrysler allowed nine runs – eight earned – on 11 hits over 3 2/3 innings, striking out two and walking two, to take the loss. Pete Lawrence had two hits for Hamilton.
In London, the Mississauga Twins improved to 2-0 as they pounded out 17 hits to beat the London Majors 12-10.
Wes O’Neill and Adam Zorzit both drove in four runs and had three hits for the Twins, who play their first home game in Mississauga Saturday afternoon. Greg Densem added three hits for the winners.
Zorzit also picked up the win in relief, pitching 4 1/3 innings and allowing three runs on six hits, striking out three.
Vince Burke had three hits for the Majors. Alan Cattrysse hit a two-run homer in the ninth and had two hits and Mike Delong also homered and had two hits for London.

The Brantford Red Sox ran their winning streak to six games with a 4-3 win over the London Majors in the lone Intercounty Baseball League game played on Tuesday.
Hyung Cho drove in the winning run with a sixth inning single to lead the defending champion Red Sox to a 6-2 record, good for a ½ game lead on the second place Oshawa Dodgers.
Cho had two of the Sox’s eight hits and drove in a pair of runs and scored another, while Joe Colameco had three hits, including a double, and scored twice in his Brantford debut.
Marc Andre Major started and got the win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits over seven innings to win the rematch of last year’s IBL Finals. He struck out seven and walked three before Stefan Strecker picked up the save, allowing two hits in two scoreless innings.
Pierre Deschenes was the loser for the Majors, allowing four runs – three of them earned – on seven hits over six innings. He struck out seven and walked three.Craig Bate finished with two scoreless innings.
Mike Delong had two hits including a 3-run homerun. Jess Bechard had two hits and a walk and also scored once for the Majors.
In London, Pierre Miville-Deschenes pitched a six-hit complete game as the Majors defeated the Kitchener Panthers 11-3. Deschenes (2-1) walked only two and struckout six.
Will Richards led London with three hits and three RBI’s while Alan Cattrysse had two hits and three RBI’s. Perry Silverman with two hits and two RBI’s, Kyle Piwowarczyk with two hits, two RBI’s and three runs scored and Ryan Cattrysse with two hits rounded out the Majors 12-hit attack.
Kitchener starter Simon Liston (0-2) took the loss, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing six runs on only five hits but walking seven against six strikeouts. He was relieved by Matt Cockburn who finished up, giving up five runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Graeme Copeland had two hits and an RBI for Kitchener.
In Oshawa, the visiting Majors got the bats going to sweep a doubleheader from the host Dodgers, winning the opener 15-8 and routing them in the nightcap 17-1.
In Game 1, Will Richards went 2-4 with a homerun and a double and 2 rbi. Jess Bechard went 2-4 with 4 rbi, Vince Burke went 2-4 with 4 runs scored and Jordan Drieling went 2-2 with 3 runs scored.
Mike Mitro was the starting pitcher and went 4 strong innings allowing 3 runs 1 earned. Craig Bate followed Mitro and got the win going 2 innings and allowing 1 earned run. Sheldon Jones and Ted Kalnins finised up the game.
In Game 2: Josh Palmer pitched 5 innings, striking out 8 and allowed 1 run, which was unearned in the rain shortened game.
Ryan Cattrysse went 3-4 with 3 rbi, Will Richards went 3-3 with 2 rbi and Jess Bechard continued his torrid pace at the plate going 2-3 with 2 rbi and 1 homerun
