LONDON, ONT -- An integral part of the London Majors winning the 2008 Intercounty Baseball League Pennant has been drafted by a Major League Baseball team.
20 year-old infielder David Narodowski of Vancouver, British Columbia was chosen in the 15th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Narodowski had a .299 batting average through 34 regular-season games for the Majors.  His 41 hits and 33 RBI were a major contribution to the Majors offensive threat in 2008 season.
Playing also for the University of Kansas he batted .354 with 8 home-runs and 43 RBI through 60 games.
"We are very proud of David's accomplishments," Roop Chanderdat, General Manager, Field Manager and Co-Owner of the London Majors said.  "His contributions on and off the field were a major reason we accomplished what we did last season."
Narodowski joins a list of six Majors players drafted by Major League teams since Chanderdat and Co-Owner Scott Dart took over the club four years ago.
Others drafted include: Mitch Delaney and Brad McElroy in 2008.  Chris Dennis, Adam Arnold, and Matt McCarney in 2007.  Mike Ambrose in 2006.
