Wednesday, June 10, 2009 For Immediate Release LONDON, ONT -- An integral part of the London Majors winning the 2008 Intercounty Baseball League Pennant has been drafted by a Major League Baseball team. 20 year-old infielder David Narodowski of Vancouver, British Columbia was chosen in the 15th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Narodowski had a .299 batting average through 34 regular-season games for the Majors. His 41 hits and 33 RBI were a major contribution to the Majors offensive threat in 2008 season. Playing also for the University of Kansas he batted .354 with 8 home-runs and 43 RBI through 60 games. "We are very proud of David's accomplishments," Roop Chanderdat, General Manager, Field Manager and Co-Owner of the London Majors said. "His contributions on and off the field were a major reason we accomplished what we did last season." Narodowski joins a list of six Majors players drafted by Major League teams since Chanderdat and Co-Owner Scott Dart took over the club four years ago.
