Erick Perez (1-0) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings for the win and Josh Palmer worked the final two innings for the save.
The key inning was the sixth when catcher Chad McKellar walked and left-fielder Rudy Vallejos bunted safely. Second baseman Kyle Piwowarczyk put down a difficult bunt and a wild throw to first scored McKellar and Vallejos for the lead, with Piwowarczyk going to second. Centre-fielder Brad McElroy bunted safely, moving Piwowarczyk to third. A single by third baseman Peter Babcock scored Piwowarczyk with what proved to be the winning run. |

Babcock added two hits including a double and had four RBI's on the night. Kevin Virtue also drove in two runs with a single. Erick Perez (2-0) scattered seven hits in seven innings for the win while Adam Arnold and Josh Palmer pitched an inning each to finish up. |

In Kitchener, Simon Gallaraga belted a couple of late-inning home runs to push the London Majors to an 8-3 win over the Panthers. London wins the series 4-1. Josh Palmer (1-0) picked up the win pitching a complete 9 innings. With London leading 1-0 on a Peter Babcock solo homerun, Gallaraga belted a solo homer in the eighth inning and added a three-run blast in the ninth inning to help London open up an eight-run lead.
