Game Summary:
The Majors defeated the Kitchener Panthers 7-6 in 10 innings on Friday. Jonathan Binder scored the winning run in the 10th inning to cap the Majors 7-6 come-from-behind win over the Panthers.
Binder led off the 10th inning with a walk and then Simon Gallaraga was hit by a pitch. Binder stole third and then advanced to home on a throwing error by the Panthers' catcher.
Kevin Virtue had three hits, including a two-run single that tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. Kyle Piwowarczyk and Rudy Vallejos each added a pair of hits in the win.
Josh Palmer (1-0) picked up the win with a pair of scoreless innings of relief after starter Hiarali Garcia allowed five runs and seven hits while striking out 13 batters in seven innings. |
