Game Summary:
Kyle Piwowarczyk had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in three runs to pace the Majors to a 12-0 win over the Stratford Nationals.
Erick Perez (5-0) became the first IBL pitcher to win five games this season, holding Stratford to four hits in six innings. He struck out four batters and walked one. Hiarali Garcia, junior Blair St. Laurent and Josh Palmer each worked an inning of relief to preserve the shutout.
Piwowarczyk also stole three bases and scored three times, Peter Babock added a pair of singles and drove in two runs and Kevin Virtue went 1-3 with two rbi. As a team the Majors had six stolen bases. |
